There are two main types of energy delivery:

Pico Full Beam

This method releases laser energy across the full area in picosecond pulses, delivering a powerful impact that breaks down pigment particles into very fine pieces. This makes it easier for the body’s white blood cells to clear away the broken pigment.

• The laser energy transforms into plasma energy, which only targets the pigment and prevents excess energy from spreading to the surrounding tissues.

Pico Fractional Beam

This is a dual-level skin stimulation technology. It releases energy in a ring-like pattern, creating two effects on the skin simultaneously:

• Cold ablation (creating small holes) on the surface of the skin at the outer edges.
• Small bubbles are created in the dermis layer (laser-induced optical breakdown or LIOB) in the center.

This technique targets both old collagen and elastin, while stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin in two layers of the dermis.

1. Preparation before treatment: Patients will undergo a skin assessment and receive advice from the doctor on how to prepare for the treatment. A numbing cream will be applied to the targeted areas 30-40 minutes before the procedure.
2. During the treatment: The Picolaser treatment typically takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the area being treated, the level of detail, and the skin concerns being addressed.
3. Immediately after the treatment: The doctor will assess the intensity of the procedure. A cold air device and ice compresses may be used to alleviate any burning or discomfort. In some cases, hydrogel masks and growth factors may be applied post-treatment to help reduce pain and promote faster healing of the treated areas.

1. Avoid washing the face for the first 24 hours. After this, cleanse with plain water and use a mild soap.
2. Apply a moisturizer regularly to keep the skin hydrated.
3. Avoid sun exposure for about 2 weeks to prevent further irritation.
4. Use sunscreen 3-4 days after the laser treatment to reduce irritation.
5. Avoid acne medication or whitening products until the scabs have fallen off or the skin no longer feels irritated.
6. Makeup can be applied once the scabs have fallen off and healing is underway.
